MOQ & Wholesale Pricing: How Our Minimums, Colorways, and Quotes Work

30 units per color and style. Sizes mix freely inside a colorway. Here's exactly how that adds up for your order.

HOW THE MINIMUM WORKS

How the 30-Unit Minimum Actually Adds Up

One number, three ways it plays out depending on what you order — plus what it looks like at real scale.

The baseline: 30 units, one color, one style. That's the floor — no page on this site offers anything lower, and none of the scenario pages change it.

One style, one colorway, mixed sizes

You need 8 in Small, 14 in Medium, 8 in Large — that's 30 units total, and it clears the minimum. Sizes mix freely inside a single colorway; nobody counts them separately.

One style, two colorways

Navy and orange versions of the same jersey are two separate 30-unit minimums — each colorway resets dye lot, print setup, and cutting. That order is 60 units minimum, not 30.

Two styles, three colorways each

A jersey and a vest, each in three team colors, is six separate 30-unit counts — 180 units minimum for the full order.

SEEN AT SCALE

Not a fourth way to count — a real order at that scale: one DTC brand we've worked with ran their opening season at six SKUs across two colorways each, thirty units per colorway, for 360 units total.

Why 30 and not 300: the number is set by what changes on the production floor when a colorway changes — dye lot, cutting layout, print or embroidery setup. Below that line, per-unit setup cost stops making sense for either side. Above it, the line runs efficiently regardless of how many colorways you're stacking.

WHAT MOVES YOUR QUOTE

What Actually Moves the Number on Your Quote

Five factors, no dollar figures — this page explains the variables, your quote gives you the actual number.

Quantity Tier

More units in one colorway spread its fixed setup across more pieces. Decided at order placement — the one factor you set directly, nobody assesses it.

Colorway Count

Each colorway resets setup from scratch, so cost doesn't shrink the way quantity does. Usually settled before the quote conversation starts, from your existing color story.

Decoration Technique

Sublimation, heat transfer, embroidery, reflective print, and silicone grip each carry their own setup cost. One of section 5's four inputs; buyer-controlled within what your fabric tier allows.

Fabric Tier

Our three tiers differ in weight, finish, and processing equipment, setting a cost baseline before quantity or colorway count apply. Usually driven by end use.

Lead Time

Standard bulk production runs 20–30 days from sample confirmation. Decided last, and the factor we confirm rather than promise upfront.

We don't publish price figures on this page, or anywhere on the site — these five variables move together, so a number in isolation wouldn't mean anything. What we do instead: you send us the combination above, and you get a real quote back, not a range that doesn't apply to your order.

QUOTE PROCESS

What We Need From You to Quote Your Order

Four inputs get you a real number in 48 hours — fewer than that, and we'll come back with questions first.

1
Style & Quantity per Colorway

Which garments, and how many colorways at the 30-unit floor or above.

2
Fabric Tier

One of our three tiers, or tell us the use case and we'll recommend one.

3
Decoration Method & Placement

What you want printed or embroidered, and roughly where.

4
Target Lead Time

Standard 20–30 day bulk production, or a rush timeline we can evaluate.

Send all four and we return a quote within 48 hours of receiving a complete tech pack. Missing pieces don't block the conversation — they just mean the first reply is a question, not a number.

COMMON ASSUMPTIONS

Where Buyers Usually Get Tripped Up

The math in section 2 is straightforward — these are the assumptions that aren't.

Assuming a small first order rules a factory out.

A 30-unit single-colorway order is a real order here, not a favor — see section 2's DTC example for what a first-season order at this scale actually looks like.

Assuming a reorder is exempt from the 30-unit floor.

It isn't. One of our club accounts has reordered the same colorway three seasons running, each order at the same 30-unit floor — a reorder is still an order.

Assuming sample units count toward the 30.

They don't. Sampling runs on its own schedule ahead of bulk production and isn't part of the bulk-run count the floor applies to.

Assuming a colorway means print, not fabric color.

Reverse — colorway is the fabric color. Two decoration variants on one style and color share a 30-unit floor; print setup is a section 4 quote factor, not a new colorway.

FAQ

Common Questions About Our Minimum Order Size

Fabric colorway swatch cards fanned out for reference
Do you make custom cycling jerseys with no minimum?
No. The floor is 30 units per colorway, on every style we make — see section 2 for how that's counted across sizes and colors.
Can we get custom cycling shirts with no minimum order?
No. The same floor applies: 30 units per colorway, no exception by garment type.
Do you make custom bike jerseys with no minimum quantity?
No. 30 units per colorway is the floor across the site, including bike jerseys — section 2 covers the math if you're combining styles or colors.
Is there a no-minimum option for a custom cycling kit?
No. A full kit follows the same 30-unit-per-colorway floor as a single piece — see our Complete Cycling Kit Development page for what's in a kit.
